Prison Break

Location: Fellanin II
Status: Success

Realizing that the slow bleed of equipment and personnel will eventually whittle their forces down to nothing, Arjun Nostra-Gardbaum develops a daring plan. One of the most notorious black market arms dealers in the Inner Sphere, Grigori Engalychev, is being held at a former Republican facility on one of the moons of Fellanin II. If the Ronin Cat Avengers could free him, then he might be able to put his talents and connections to work in identifying sources for equipment.

The only catch is that it was Arjun’s father who put Engalychev in that prison in the first place…

Distraction

It seems that with the fall of the Republic, the prison on Fellanin II was now being run by the inmates. Unfortunately, they had created their own little militia force from the leftover eqiupment and they weren’ too interested in hearing from the Avengers. It seems like Engalychev was not exactly on good terms with them.

The Avengers put together a two-pronged plan. A deployment of mechs and vehicles would attack the walls of the prison long enough to distract the militia forces. Meanwhile, a battle armor strike team would penetrate the prison and recover Engalychev.

After-Action Report

It all went to plan except that the distracting force took heavier damage than expected from the prison’s static missile defenses. The strike team was able to locate Engalychev.

Although pleased to be free again, Engalychev wasn’t initially to pleased to see Gideon Nostra-Gardbaum’s children. Grigori is a pragmatic man, however, and soon saw that his current situation could be worked to his advantage.
