Jack McQueen was in his third year at the Focht War College when Fortress Republic went up. He never finished his studies, but instead returned to Moore to defend his homeworld from raiders and successor state predation. It was in that defense that he was noticed and recruited by Knight Gideon to join his forces. Although Jack has been with the group for now five years and is 27 years old, he is still treated as the “kid” (along with Arjun) by others much to his annoyance.
