Payton Heath was recruited into Gideon’s unit straight out of academy based on some familial connections with Reggie Overton. Sassy and a bit crass out of the cockpit, Heath is cool as a cucumber once the neurohelmet goes on.
Heath has gained a reputation as an excellent spotter and scout for the heavy units. In fact, when her Beowulf was reduced to slag on Fellanin II, she refused the offer to upgrade to a salvaged assault mech and instead traded this position with Jack McQueen so that she could take over his Spider and continue in her duties.
